My course expectations for PSY 204 are that I will be challenged to learn what it takes to be a good and effective tutor. It is my hope that from the information provided and the speakers who will present various topics throughout the quarter I will gain an in depth appreciation for the kinds of interpersonal skills and group dynamics it requires to make the most out of the tutoring process. Additionally, I am also hoping that I will be able to apply what I learn in the classroom directly to the tutoring job in which I am employed. Although I know that lots of times there can be quite a bit of difference between what one learns in the classroom and what one can apply in real life, nevertheless, I am optimistic that this course will be enable me to bridge that gulf with a minimum of difficulty.
